This January marked a milestone for Teresa Gibson, celebrating 20 years as part of the MTB Mechanical team. Working in administration and human resources, Teresa says that she loves her job because she gets to do so many different things and no two days are the same.
“My job is not monotonous,” Teresa remarks. “You can think you have your day all planned out and everything can change. In my role, I make sure everyone at MTB has what they need to do their jobs well, and assist the owners and management wherever needed.”
Teresa has learned much about the HVAC industry over the years and recommends it as a career path since it is something “that will always be needed.” A Charlotte native, she is very familiar with fluctuating Carolina temperatures, where heat and air conditioning are a priority!
In addition to enjoying her job, one of the main reasons that Teresa has been with MTB all these years is because of how much she respects the company.
“They are honest, they stand behind their work, they are a stable company that’s been around for a long time, and they care about the customer,” Teresa says. “MTB has always been good to me, and they value all of their employees. And I love the people I work with!”
Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time with family (her granddaughters are pictured above), and is actively involved in her church, teaching Sunday school to children. In fact, she just received an Associate’s degree in biblical studies! Teresa also loves food, and LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden and hibachi grills are some of her favorites.
