MTB recently had the opportunity to put our signature on a construction project — literally.
In honor of raising $1.7 million in a record 12 days for the St. Jude Dream Home in Union County, all partners were invited to a unique floor signing event, where they put their signatures on the floor of an as-yet-unfinished room in this beautiful designer home.

Charlie Cooper, MTB field supervisor, attended the celebration and added his John Hancock to a floor filled with signatures of the construction experts who donated 100 percent of all services and materials to this fundraising effort for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The hospital commissions homes across the nation, and sells raffle tickets for one lucky homeowner to win a Dream Home in each market. Locally the project is managed by Newton Custom Homes and Realty. The Charlotte area raffle winner will be announced in the coming weeks.
“It’s so meaningful to be a part of this event,” Charlie said. “Everyone who worked on this home is doing it for the kids and families of St. Jude. We can see it here in writing that there are many of us making a difference in the lives of families affected by cancer.”
MTB became involved with the Dream Home through a partnership with Trane, and installed the home’s HVAC system at no cost. Stephanie Kee of Trane joined Charlie at the event, and added her signature to the floor as well. Like Charlie, she felt the strong emotions of the day. As she put it: “This is amazing teamwork in action.”
